    1. I’m not sure how people feel about this building, Susan. It’s visible from many vantage points, and been able to glimpse it as far as 50 blocks away. To me, it’s a symbol of resilience, sometimes of the even downright belligerence of New Yorkers’ will to rise above, as the thousands of skyscrapers in our city attest. When the World Trade Towers were being built, I thought them a blight on the New York cityscape. In my opinion, they became beloved when they were obliterated and cost thousands of loved ones their lives. How this new tower is perceived and what its role will be remains to be seen…xoxoM

  1. Visited this site, M. It is very humbling and sad and a testament and tribute. So many things that I simply don’t have the proper words to describe it. It’s very difficult to know how to feel about this. I don’t if anyone knows the “right” way to honor or give remembrance about such a tragedy that forever changed us.

    1. I agree with you, Brigitte, that there is no “universal,” “one-size-fits-all” or even “most” response to this site. It’s there, it’s highly visible, and it’ll make us think…or not…xoxoM
