The Water is Low

www.coachingbytext.comThe water level on the Hudson River seems quite low to me. To my unscientific eye, being able to see the blanket of green covering the jagged rocks along the shoreline in our neighborhood, is an indication of how much of the formerly submerged Earth is now exposed.

In the twelve years we’ve lived in this neighborhood, this is as low as I’ve seen the Hudson’s waters recede.

The Hudson is a big river. To see its mighty waters flow at such a diminished level in early Spring is alarming to me.

Climate change?

  1. This seems odd, as according to recent weather reports I’ve seen, the east coast area has been getting a lot of rain lately (though perhaps not as much in upstate New York where the Hudson originates). Perhaps more of the water than in the past is being diverted for industrial use as it flows south?

    1. Although we’ve had a rainy week, it’s not been consequential. New York City is a harbor and I would think it would take a great shift in industrial use upstream to have such a noticeable effect in our area. I’ve not heard of any large industrial developments in upstate NY either Mr. Muse. I’ll let the scientists figure this out. My tiny contribution is to document what I see. 😉 xoxoM

  2. What I’ve noticed about the rains we get here in Texas is that they don’t seem to saturate and be like rainwater used to be if that makes sense. They do a lot of weather modification spraying here and around the world now and I wonder if it’s changing the composition of water – how quickly it evaporates etc. Something else I’ve noticed is in areas that seem to get rain have fires and I wonder if the “modified rain” is more combustible than it used to be as it’s processed through the earth and the plants? Like us, plants are what they eat and drink kind of thing? Our top soil disappears too! Stuff I notice and wonder about like you seem to M!

    1. Living in the city, on concrete, the saturation aspect is not readily discernible here, Jackie. You’ve made some very interesting observations! 😉 xoxoM

    1. It certainly seems like Mother Nature is switching things up a bit, David. She has to play it by ear until Humanity decides to be cooperative and more of us awaken to Oneness! 😉 xoxoM
